Britten 100

Britten’s centenary is being celebrated all over the world, from performances of the Church Parables in Russia and Japan to Albert Herring in Brazil, and of course with countless concerts across Britain, Europe and the USA.  Birmingham is proud to be part of these international events, and to commemorate the city’s special connection with the composer.

The focal point of the worldwide celebrations is the Britten–Pears Foundation (BPF) – based at The Red House in Aldeburgh, where Britten lived and worked – working in partnership with the three main publishers of Britten’s music, Boosey & Hawkes, Faber Music & Chester Music, and his recording company, Decca.
